      MacPherson: 正念乃养生之本 (Effects of Mindfulness on Health) - Feb 16 (Sat) (Talk will be in Chinese) 正念是个古老的修身养性之道。在这科技发达、资讯泛滥、分秒必争的现代,整个人际社会或许更加需要修习这种古老的心灵文化。这几年来,东西方各著名学府与学者,也纷纷参与正念养生、保健等方面的研究。除了介绍一些比较代表性的科研发现之外,黄医生也将会以实际例子,带领大家探讨正念如何维护并促进大家的身心健康,尤其是长辈们在面临生死大问的关键时刻,如何以正念来坦然以对。 (Mindfulness is an ancient art of spiritual development and self care. Arguably, such practices might even be more relevant than ever in modern times. Much research has been conducted by the scientific community from various centres of academic excellence all over the world investigating into the efficacy of mindfulness practice in improving health and wellness. Aside from sharing some of the more important findings, Dr Ng will also be using case studies to illustrate how mindfulness is crucial to health promotion, especially for seniors facing the challenges of existential crises.)
