      ''Kew Gardens and its Curator'' by Dr Nigel Taylor, is an illustrated account of Kew Gardens and Nigel's work there over the past 34 years. From Nigel's initial appointment to the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in 1977, as a Horticultural Taxnomist, he developed a research portfolio focused on cultivated plants, especially hardy wood and dryland species (cacti and Succulents).

      Over the past 2 decades, Nigel has been closely involved with the development of Kew Gardens. From his appointment as Curator of Kew Gardens (1995), restructuring Horticulture and Public Education (2001), marketing Kew Gardens asa major visitor attraction leading its inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (2001-2003).

      Nigel is also an author of numerous botanical research publications, serving also on various editorial boards. Being one of the principal media spokesmen on Kew's history. He is also a keen grower of vegetables in his spare time and has won the RHS Banksian Medal for his exhibit in the Kew Horticultural Summer Show in 2009.
