      Do you have a sprain or foot injury? Are you struggling to stay active with your foot injury? Join us for Active Chair yoga! What Is Active Chair Yoga? Who is Chair Yoga for?Chair Yoga is an adapted form of active yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Chair Yoga is great for you if you have an injury that's preventing you from practising regular Yoga or other weight-bearing sports (running, climbing etc.) What are the Benefits of Chair Yoga? What does the class consist of?  The class is focused to help you work on healthy muscular engagement to build incremental strength and range of motion, improve circulation, and balance the flow of energy within the body inspite of your injury This 60-minute invigorating practice will consist of seated mediation, breathwork (pranayama) and a series of asanas (postures) adapted for practice with a chair which include: seated warrior two, seated side angle, seated spine twist, and seated forward fold, and some standing postures with the support of the chair. This class will help to maintain muscular engagement & functioning to avoid atrophy / weakening aid in the healing of injuries, accommodate physical limitations and quiet the mind. Note: This is a more active, demanding class is suitable for those physically fit prior to injury. If you are new to yoga/physical activity, consider joining our gentle adaptive chair yoga class.  Class Timing, Venue & Fees $70 for a full program 4 classes ($17.5/class) $25 for a single drop-in class ($25/class) Classes are Fridays 3, 10, 17, 24 Jan 7- 8pm @ Bishan Street 11, 570148 (detailed address will be shared upon registration) Class size will be kept small (6 students or less) to allow for greater attention, adjustments and care.  Can't join us? Originally from Singapore, Wenlin has been a student of movement since she was little, starting with dance, martial arts (Kendo) and later Contact Improvisation, Yoga and Thai Massage. Teaching since 2016, certified by Yoga Alliance and CPR trained, Wenlin is trained to teach various styles including:Vinyasa flow, Hot flow, Yin, Restorative, Massage, Chair Yoga, Kid’s Yoga. She primarily teaches at YogaUnion, Turin’s leading Yoga studio, and leads workshops & masterclasses in Asia & Europe. Recently she has taught at Brighton Yoga Festival, UK & Obonjan island private Resort, Croatia.
