      Gentle Chair Yoga for Knee / Joint Pain

      Do you suffer from joint / knee pain? Is joint pain stopping you from being active? Join us for Gentle Chair yoga! What Is Gentle Chair Yoga? Who is Chair Yoga for?Chair Yoga is an adapted form of supportive yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Chair Yoga is great for you if you suffer from arthritis / joint pain or have mobility issues stopping you from practising regular yoga.  What are the Benefits of Chair Yoga? What does the class consist of?  The class is designed to improve flexibility, strength and range of motion, maintain or regain joint mobility, relieve joint pain and stiffness, improve circulation, and balance the flow of energy within the body. This 60-minute gentle practice will consist of seated mediation, breathwork (pranayama) and a series of asanas (postures) adapted for practice with a chair which include: seated warrior two, seated side angle, seated spine twist, and seated forward fold, and some standing postures with the support of the chair. This class will help to ease the pain associated with arthritis (joint pain), aid in the healing of injuries, accommodate physical limitations and quiet the mind. Note: This is a more gentle class is suitable for elderly, or If you are new to yoga/physical activity. If you are looking for a more active class, consider joining our active chair yoga class.  Class Timing, Venue & Fees $70 for a full program 4 classes ($17.5/class) $25 for a single drop-in class ($25/class) Classes are Tuesdays 7, 14, 21, 28 Jan 10-11am @ Bishan Street 11, 570148 (detailed address will be shared upon registration) Class size will be kept small (6 students or less) to allow for greater attention, adjustments and care.  Can't join us? Originally from Singapore, Wenlin has been a student of movement since she was little, starting with dance, martial arts (Kendo) and later Contact Improvisation, Yoga and Thai Massage. Teaching since 2016, certified by Yoga Alliance and CPR trained, Wenlin is trained to teach various styles including:Vinyasa flow, Hot flow, Yin, Restorative, Massage, Chair Yoga, Kid’s Yoga. She primarily teaches at YogaUnion, Turin’s leading Yoga studio, and leads workshops & masterclasses in Asia & Europe. Recently she has taught at Brighton Yoga Festival, UK & Obonjan island private Resort, Croatia.
