Tackling Difficult Questions and Composition for PSLE English

Tackling Difficult Questions and Composition for PSLE English(NEW DATES ADDED) Is your child stuck with an ineffective English teacher or tutor in 2019? How can your child optimise his/her learning in 2019? Why do pupils consistently fail Synthesis and Transformation? What is the secret to scoring 13 to 15 marks for Comprehension Cloze Passage? How can your child break through the 30-mark barrier for composition? Is the learning of English Language for the sake of examinations, or is there a greater objective?   Our speaker, Dr Chua, has a PhD from the Australian National University and is a former teacher and HOD at one of the best Primary Schools in Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Education), a certificate for teaching the Gifted and Talented, and a Master of Arts (Social Studies) from NIE. As a result of almost ten years of research and training, he has guided and inspired numerous pupils towards success in English, with 100% of his first batch of Primary 6 pupils achieving at least an ‘A’ grade and 82% achieving A* for PSLE English Exams.    In this 1.5-hour session designed for parents of Primary 3 to 6 pupils, Dr Chua will share his experience as an upper primary English Language teacher and a PSLE marker. He will also reveal proven strategies to tackle the toughest sections of the English Language examinations, such as Synthesis and Transformation, Comprehension Cloze Passage and Comprehension Open-ended. Using teaching methods developed for the teaching of the Gifted and Talented, Dr Chua will introduce critical thinking as a foundation for the learning of English across all levels.
