      WSQ Respond to Fire Emergency in Buildings (RFEB)

      Course Overview “On 1st Sept 2013 the Fire Safety   Act was amended to include all premises with Fire Safety Managers must set up   a Company Emergency Response Team(CERT). The owner or occupier of the   premises can be found guilty of an offence and is liable for a fine not   exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or BOTH.” The Respond to Fire Emergency in Buildings course prepares Company Emergency Response Team members (CERT) with the knowledge and application skills to function as a member of an emergency response team in order to implement the emergency response skills during an emergency incident in buildings.This course will provide the Company Emergency Response Team members (CERT) in Public and Industrial buildings with valid petroleum and flammable materials storage license ( A Statement of Attainment (SOA) from WDA/SCDF will be awarded upon successful course assessment. 20 CPD Points and 16 SDU Points awarded upon successful completion. Who Should Attend? Staff,Supervisors and Managers assigned to be SIC (Site Incident Controller) or Emergency Response Team member for their facility (Tier 2, facilities listed in the CERT requirements by SCDF) Course Content The participants should achieve the following competencies upon completion of the course:  Interpret emergency response legislations and guidelines Identify fire hazard scenarios and usage of fire protection system in buildings Demonstrate use of breathing apparatus according to BA wearer guidelines and entrapment procedures Assess the emergency situation and conduct fire fighting to contain fire in high rise buildings Participate in rescue and evacuation exercise Handover incident and provide operational assistance to the appropriate body Time: 9.00am to 6.00pm ( 2 days) Course Fees: S$450 per pax (Incl. Re-requisites: Must be medically fit with no pre-exisiting medical conditions such as knee, spinal, joint injury. Please consult your doctor before attending the course. How to I pay for the course? Payment can be done by Cheque, Cash, NETS, Bank Transfer. If bank transfer payment is preferred, do inform the Zoe at jiahui@avanta.com.sg details will be send to you. Please note that training is only confirmed with full payment.What's the refund policy? The Company does not refund but you are allowed to transfer your seats. Please give notice of at least 03 working days. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Your registration can be transferred but you will have to inform Zoe at jiahui@avanta.com.sg at least 7 working days in advance. Administrative charges will apply for any no show or last minute changes.   Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? As Certificate will be issued upon completion of this training, please ensure that your details are correct. Any request for amendment to the certificate will be charged $20 per certificate/ card.
