      WSQ Respond to Fire Incident in Workplace (RFIW)

      Course Overview “On 1st Sept 2013 the Fire Safety   Act was amended to include all premises with Fire Safety Managers must set up   a Company Emergency Response Team(CERT). The owner or occupier of the   premises can be found guilty of an offence and is liable for a fine not   exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or BOTH.” Respond to Fire Incidents in Workplace aims to equip learners with the skills necessary to handle a relatively simple fire incident which might happen anywhere in the workplace. These skills will allow learners to handle a fire incident in a cool and calm manner, and execute steps to extinguish the fire. In addition, learners will also learn the proper way to handle a fire extinguisher, and also learn about several precautions to take for fire hazardsThis course will provide the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) in the Public and Industrial premises (without or store below the exemption quantity of petroleum and flammable material) with the skills and knowledge required to effectively respond to fire incidents. A Statement of Attainment (SOA) from WDA/SCDF will be awarded upon successful course assessment. 8 SDU points and 10 CPD points awarded upon successful completion. Who Should Attend? Staff,Supervisors and Managers assigned to be SIC (Site Incident Controller) or Emergency Response Team member for their facility (Tier 3, facilities listed in the CERT requirements by SCDF) Course Content The participants should achieve the following competencies upon completion of the course:  Interpret emergency response legislations and guidelines Identify fire hazard scenarios and conduct situation assessment Demonstrate use of fire protection systems in the workplaces Respond to fire incidents using various extinguishing mediums Handover incident and provide operational assistance to the appropriate body Time: 9.00am to 6.00pm ( 1 day) Course Fees: S$240 per pax (Incl. Re-requisites: Must be medically fit with no pre-exisiting medical conditions such as knee, spinal, joint injury. Please consult your doctor before attending the course. How to I pay for the course? Please note that training is only confirmed with full payment.What's the refund policy? The Company does not refund but you are allowed to transfer your seats. Please give notice of at least 03 working days. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Your registration can be transferred but you will have to inform Zoe at jiahui@avanta.com.sg at least 7 working days in advance. Administrative charges will apply for any no show or last minute changes.   Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? As Certificate will be issued upon completion of this training, please ensure that your details are correct. Any request for amendment to the certificate will be charged $20 per certificate/ card.
